A Shower/Changing Bed that makes changing and personal care comfortable and safe

Seniors and those with mobility disabilities may need support for changing and personal care, and the Shower/Changing Bed is an excellent assistive aid for those situations. Users lie safely and comfortably on the flexible slats allowing the caregiver to work in an ergonomic and healthy position.

The Shower/Changing Bed may be electronically adjusted to the desired height, lowered to provide a suitable level for safe transfer and raised to provide an ergonomic height to provide care.

ROPOX Shower/Changing Bed is very comfortable for the user while providing an improved work environment for their caregivers.

The Bed has reversible slats made of soft, flexible PUR foam. The top side of the slats is soft and curved slightly towards the middle for situations when turning the user onto their side is not needed.  The slight curve of the slats allows the body to naturally be positioned in the center of the bed.

The opposite side of the slats is flatter and curve slightly upwards in the middle. This side should be used in situations that include the caregiver rotating the user onto their side, e.g. when changing clothes.  The slight curve allow for a smooth, comfortable reposition of the user.

The specially designed slats gently guides the user to lie in the most convenient position to improve the caregivers’ work environment.

Flexible and cleaning-friendly

To optimize space in the bathroom or changing room, the Shower/Changing Bed was designed to be easily folded up when not in use.

The slats and water collection tray have soft, smooth surfaces with rounded corners which make it extremely cleaning-friendly to maintain a high-level of hygiene.

Electrical height-adjustment

The Shower/Changing Bed’s electrical height adjustment allows caregivers to easily set the height. Activation of the integrated hand control will lower or raise the the bed with just one hand.

The changing bed has a height adjustment range of 27-1/2″ from 11-3/4″ to 39-1/4″ providing a suitable level allowing for a safe, smooth transfer on and off the bed.  When raised, the bed provides an ergonomic height to provide care.  The ability to adjust the height helps the user feel safe and comfortable, while minimizing the physical strain for their caregiver.

Shower/Changing Beds for children and adults with mobility disabilities

The Shower/Changing Bed is available in three sizes making it suitable for children and adults.  All three models are available with or without tiltable back support and are all tested and approved according to relevant standards.

Models range from 57-1/2″ (four slats); 70″ (5 slats); and 82-1/2″ (6 slats).

• Functional dimensions: Height adjustment from 11-3/4″ to 39-1/4″

The Shower/Changing bed is not recommended for installation in aggressive environments (for example chlorine environments situated close to swimming pools).
