A special lift system that makes wall cabinets accessible to everyone

The Diagonal lift system for wall cabinets was developed to make kitchens handicap-friendly. The lift system uses modern technology to ensure that everyone has easy access to the kitchen cabinets – regardless of the degree of physical mobility.

The special lift system moves the cabinet diagonally; lowered in height and moved forward from the wall in one smooth motion allowing wheelchair and seated users to reach even the top shelves of the cupboards. Having the ability to easily move the cabinets ensures optimal comfort for all users in the kitchen.

It may be challenging for people with mobility restrictions to use a kitchen unless it has integrated and intelligent solutions that make the different parts of the room accessible to them. The Diagonal lift system for upper wall cupboards provide users with a solution that makes the kitchen flexible and accessible – while keeping the kitchen looking modern and elegant. The diagonal movement of the lift system makes it suited for private homes, senior housing, special schools, nursing homes and institutions.

The lift system makes it possible for elderly and disabled people to participate and independently perform tasks in the kitchen. Their flexibility also allows both caregivers and users to work in the kitchen at the same time while socializing and completing kitchen tasks.

Handicap-friendly and height adjustable upper wall cabinets

With the lift system, kitchen cabinets may move 17″ up/down and 7″ horizontally from the wall towards the user. They are adjusted electrically using a small control switch which may be integrated into the kitchen table.

The cupboards are mounted on the lift system frame which is only 4.5″ deep. When the cabinets are mounted, the lift system is not visible, and the kitchen looks like a non-modified kitchen. Hidden behind the elegant surface lies intelligent solutions allowing seniors and those with mobility restrictions to be more self-reliant in their daily lives.

The Diagonal lift system will integrate with cabinets 21-1/2″ – 26-3/4″ or 27-1/2″ – 36-1/4″ in height and 15-3/4″ – 70-3/4″ wide. We recommend that cabinets wider than 23-1/2″ have double doors.  The varying heights and widths allows customization of the kitchen to meet each user’s specific needs.

Modern technology makes daily life safe

A safety stop plate may be mounted on the bottom and top of the cabinet for added safety while the cabinet is in motion. When the plate meets resistance, it will automatically stop and relieve the pressure allowing you to remove the object that has impeded motion. This will eliminate the possibility of injury or damage while adjusting the cabinet height.

The Diagonal lift system meets – or exceeds – the relevant standards for assistive devices for people with disability. That guarantees that safety and reliability are top notch.
