VERA-LIFT sitting sling

The VERA-LIFT sitting sling can be used to transfer patients who do not exhibit behavior during transfers that might pose risk of injury to the patient or to staff members during seated transfers. Patients must also be able to sit erect with arms on the outside of the sitting sling and able to have both knees against the knee rest.

Description

Sizing

The Vancare VERA-LIFT sitting sling should be long enough to extend from the bottom of the patient’s coccyx to two to three inches below the lower edge of the patient’s shoulder blades.

The VERA-LIFT sitting sling can be used to transfer patients who do not exhibit behavior during transfers that might pose risk of injury to the patient or to staff members during seated transfers. Patients must also be able to sit erect with arms on the outside of the sitting sling and able to have both knees against the knee rest.

Material

Sitting slings are available in your choice of standard breathable cloth polyester, “H” cloth, which is high-heat breathable polyester that withstands temperatures up to 200°. Mesh a breathable polyester material (for bathing). You may also choose “C” cloth a cool-heat polyester that withstands temperatures up to 167° and has a non-absorbent coating on one side for easy spot cleaning. All slings and belts are also available in a breathable disposable material to help with infection control and cross contamination issues. There are many different custom options available.
