introduce myself

My name is Len Sears.  Currently, I’m the Director of Sales at ProCare Medical charged with the Sales and Marketing of Lopital Showering Solutions.  Lopital is a global leader in the institutional shower equipment market.

Over my career I have been a Sales Rep, District Manager, Regional VP, National Accounts Director and a business owner.  My experience encompasses Safe Patient Handling, wound care, bed frames, institutional and home care hygiene equipment and pressure reducing surfaces.

My intention on this blog will be to inform and educate on best practices and evidenced based results as it pertains to delivering hygiene care in the Post-Acute market.  I will have a dual focus; the resident/client/patient and the caregiver.  This type of care is traditionally labor intensive and depending on the physical and mental condition of the individual, some of the most difficult care to deliver effectively and safely.
